Text 21 May 2 notes 05/21 run
  • 5 miles in 40:30
  • average 8:06 pace

I don’t have any mile splits but just a normal run! I ran at 5:30 in the morning before school, so I was half asleep for the first half. Obviously I’ve been running pretty slow lately, but once I escape the jaws of school this Friday I will be back to normal! Official xc runs start June 3rd, but I’m going to start building mileage next week! Right now I’m just trying to make sure I study for my finals so I can keep all my A’s, practice 1-2.5 hours of cello a day for my audition on Friday, finish a huge project due on Friday, and then for once I really need to make sure I get at the minimum 6 hours or more of sleep a night so I can focus on my finals. Then I’m free until August!

Just registered for a 5k I just found that is this Saturday! And the best part was that it’s free because I’m under 18! Hooray!

Text 19 May 757 notes Running is not just a sport.

findyour-balance:

It is early mornings and peanut butter.
It’s slipping on ice and sweating to death.
It’s feeling like you can’t breathe and wishing your legs would fall off.
It’s sticking it out on the treadmill and pushing through bad runs.
There is no off-season, no one to cheer you on at 5:00 a.m, and no cure for your hunger.
When it comes down to it, running is whatever you want it to be, whatever you need to be, and whatever you have in you.
